Day 1 - Edinburgh
Depart from the U.S. on an overnight transatlantic flight bound for Scotland.
Day 2 - Edinburgh
Touch down in Edinburgh. After clearing customs, you'll be met by a Go Ahead representative, who will escort you to your hotel and assist with check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to begin exploring the city. Tonight, you might enjoy joining your group for an optional dinner in Edinburgh's Old Town.

Day 3 - Edinburgh
Explore Scotland's capital city today. Or opt for a guided tour, which includes avisit to Edinburgh Castle, a centuries-old stronghold whose fortifications perch atop an extinct volcano crater in the heart of Edinburgh. Here, you can view the Scottish crown jewels as well as the Stone of Scone, returned to Scotland in 1997, a full 700 years after an English king stole it away.
For the rest of your stay, the city of Edinburgh is yours for the exploring. Browse the enticing shops of the Royal Mile and Princes Street. You might also enjoy touring Holyroodhouse Palace, the setting for royal ceremonies, including the knighting of Sir Sean Connery and other Scottish notables. Alternatively, join an optional excursion to Abbotsford House, former home of Sir Walter Scott, and Melrose Abbey.
